Glass Sand Drying Machine
In glass production, every 1% of moisture in your silica sand increases melting energy cost and risks quality defects. Our Glass Sand Dryer eliminates this problem – delivering consistent <0.5% final moisture while cutting fuel consumption by up to 30%.
Working Principle
(1) Wet sand is fed from the raw material bin into the rotary drum dryer via a feeder and conveyor. Under a gas-fired heat source, the material is continuously dispersed and lifted, achieving efficient heat exchange and rapid moisture removal.
(2) The exhaust gas containing dust is drawn into a cyclone and dust collection system for purification, with dust available for recycling.
(3) The dried material is then conveyed to a vibrating screen for classification into different particle sizes according to production requirements. The entire system is automatically controlled to regulate temperature and moisture, ensuring stable operation and a final moisture content of 0.5%–1%.
